ND citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities will have access to information, experiences, and supports that will allow them to be successful in the general workforce. In order to achieve the goal to ensure that people with I/DD are gainfully employed, multiple constituents need to learn and adopt customized employment practices. Parents, providers, educators, businesses and communities need both training on customized employment and technical assistance to implement the strategies. ND communities need more information on community employment options and models, including faith-based and technology-based approaches.
