NDCPD uses WebEx for our distance trainings. Participating sites need a computer with video and audio. See the attached pdf file “Meeting test site directions” to test your connection.

 

The other pdf document “Instructions for connecting audio video” gives the directions on how to connect either Voice over IP (VoIP) with your computer. If you cannot connect to the audio on your computer, you may still login to the WebEx site to see the presenter's slides and call in using your phone to hear the speaker (toll call).

Abstract: This informative two part webinar provides discussion regarding the critical role of Service Coordination in assuring that an individual’s quality of life is enhanced through the individualized support and futures planning processes. Focus is given to the essential elements of a Futures Planning process. Strategies for identifying the dreams and priorities of individuals are discussed in detail. Though form and format of the Futures Planning process are briefly discussed, primary emphasis is given to the use of generic supports, overcoming the restrictions of highly regulated environments, effectively utilizing available resources and empowering direct support professionals to serve as active learning instructors in the process.

 

Who Should Attend? Participants who will benefit from Dr. Pomeranz’ webinars include human service professionals including staff trainers, social workers, nurses, program coordinators, Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professionals; Developmental Disabilities Program Managers; leadership staff and others who participate in and promote person-centered planning processes.
