Training Request Form

Great Plains Autism Spectrum Disorders Treatment Program (GPAST) has a variety of opportunities to train and educate North Dakota individuals and groups on Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Please complete the request form below. Once you have completed and submitted a form, the GPAST Training Coordinator will be in contact with you to plan and organize your organization's training needs.

Possible Training Event Topics

Listed below are possible training event topics. These are listed in three specific areas of training: Information, Interventions, and Diagnostics/ Screening. There is a space for other, if your desired training topic is not listed. Please indicate which training(s) you're interested in.


Information


      Describes the “red flags” or signs of autism. It will compare normal
      developmental milestones vs. atypical developmental milestones.






Intervention








      Focuses on Asperger’s Syndrome/High Functioning Autism characteristics and how we
      can support these individuals in transition and employment.



      This training will describe and help develop social stories to help children with autism.




      Visual Schedules, Room Structure, and Workstations- This training provides information
      on visual schedules, power cards etc.  as well as structuring the environment and
      how these techniques help individuals with autism.



      This training provides information on the development and use of power cards, social
      stories and video self-modeling.



Diagnostic/Screening/Interdisciplinary:
These trainings are offered individually or as part of an interdisciplinary diagnostic team training.






      Focuses on the symptoms of ASD as well as assessment tools used in the evaluation of
      Autism.
