Advancing Students Toward Education and Employment Program
Pathway II allows both transition-age students with (ID) who are dually-enrolled as well as young adults who have graduated from high school the opportunity to receive a College-to-Career certificate as well as one MSU/DCB transcribed certificate such as:
Advertising and Marketing
Medical Administrative Assistant
Small Business Management
Students eligible for Pathway II must complete the ACT test prior to enrollment, demonstrate the ability to take college courses for credit, and meet minimum college requirements for acceptance.
Students in Pathway II have up to 3 years to complete a transcribed diploma or certificate in the area of their choosing while maintaining access to ASTEP's individualized supports.
Program Requirements each semester:
6 credits of coursework (including core and elective classes) from the MSU/DCB undergraduate catalogs for credit.
6 credits of employment internship
2 credits in Self-Determination and Independent Living Skills training
Additional 12 to 33 credits of inclusive course work based on the AAS or diploma program requirements
