man writing on a whiteboard(2003 - 2004) The first nodes of the Flatlands Disability Network were established at Harvey, ND and Mandan, ND.

 

 

(October, 2004) US Department of Commerce funds the expansion of the FDN to include seven new sites.

 

man writing on a whiteboard(November, 2004) Project staff met with federal program staff in Washington, DC. Start up documentation was prepared and submitted. Memorandums of agreement were completed for participating programs.

The team also installed all software in a test environement before sending the equipment out to the sites for initial setups. The systems have the video software installed and functioning over the network via the Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections for encryption and security.
