able to assist passengers with special needs. To do this a driver must
understand the capabilities and needs of special passengers.

Who Offers the Training?
CPR and First Aid training
generally are available from your local chapter of the American Red

Once on the website, scroll down to Find Your Local Red Cross and enter
your zip code. Also, many city and town fire departments/rescue squads
offer such training to people in their communities.
Defensive Driving,
Wheelchair Lift and Securement, and Passenger Sensitive Training may be
offered by the Rural Transit Assistance Program (RTAP) in your area.
