Benefits
  • Increase in sales due to increase in the number of people who are able to use your building.
  • Decrease in taxes, up to $5,000 a year if auxiliary aids (brailled materials, larger print, TDD phone devices, etc.) are provided or for removal of barriers.
  • Reduction in reportable income for all commercial facilities and public accommodations, regardless of size; tax deduction (not credit) of up to $15,000 per year for “qualified architectural and transportation barrier removal expenses.”
