North Dakota Housing Program

About Us

The Money Follows the Person

(MFP) Housing Program helps

people who are elderly or

disabled access decent, safe and

affordable housing.

The MFP Housing Program team

is tasked with finding decent, safe, affordable housing for persons that are MFP qualified and wish to transition out of institutions or nursing facilities and back into the community in the least restrictive setting possible. The MFP Housing Program staff includes a State Housing Facilitator (SHF) and four Consumer Housing Resource Specialists (CHRS), located in Minot, Grand Forks, Fargo and Bismarck.

The MFP housing database is an online registry of existing affordable and/or accessible housing rental options throughout the state. As you find a unit that fits your needs, please call the apartment manager to check for availability or to be added to a wait list. If you have affordable and/or accessible housing that you would like listed on our database, please contact one of the Consumer Housing Resource Specialists listed below or fill out a housing questionnaire provided on the Housing tab above and it will be entered into the MFP database.
