North Dakota Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program
The North Dakota EHDI Program has recently received two federal grants to work toward furthering collaborative efforts within the hearing health system of care in ND. As stated in the opportunity announcement, “The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has awarded grants to support implementation and growth of jurisdictional EHDI programs. The CDC complements their efforts by providing cooperative agreements to develop EHDI Information Systems (EHDI-IS), which serve as a powerful tool to help programs to ensure that all infants receive a hearing screening and recommend follow-up diagnostic and intervention services.” (https://www.grants.gov/web/grants/search-grants.html, CDC-RFA-DD17-1701. CDC-RFA-DD17-1701PUBLICATION.pdf, Dec 23, 2016.)
The ND EHDI Program will work to provide national best practice recommendations, technical assistance and exploring ways to implement best practice processes in your community of care.
