Through the North Dakota HAVA Grant, NDCPD project staff members will be providing presentations and educational materials for voters with disabilities (especially those with cognitive disabilities) and disability service providers. These training sessions will cover topics such as voting rights, the voting process, and the accessible voting machines that have been purchased for each polling site. Voting materials in adaptive formats will also be available for distribution as well as a HAVA fact sheet with contact information for additional resources.
Several training sessions have been scheduled around the state over a three week period prior to the June primary election. Another series of training events will be scheduled to coincide with the general election in November.
