What if I need help when I am voting?

  • You have the right to get help with voting.
  • Poll workers can give you written or spoken instructions.
  • You can bring your voting notes with you to help you vote.
  • You can bring a family member or friend with you.
  • You can take all the time you need. You do not need to feel rushed.
  • You can ask a poll worker for help.
  • You can ask for another ballot or ask a poll worker to help you if you make a mistake.
  • You can ask a poll worker to help you if have trouble with the voting equipment.


What if I have complaints about my voting experience?

If you have problems when you are voting, you may fill out a complaint form (link). You will need to have this form signed by a legal representative (notary). You will send this form back to the Secretary of State’s Office.
