Nutrition
Breast or bottle feed on demand
Hold baby to feed
Give only breast milk or formula
Burp as needed through feeding

Safety
Weight size appropriate infant car seat
Never leave infant alone
Protect infant from sun
Crib slats should be 2 3/8" or less apart
Mattress should fit snug
Never use cord or ribbon to hold child's pacifier

Discipline
Praise good behavior
Hold baby - talk to baby
