   Family Support Programs

Family Support Services - A program that offers respite care and other in-home supports to eligible North Dakota families of children with developmental disabilities.

Family Subsidy - A program that offers additional dollars to pay for disability related needs for families of children with developmental disabilities. This program is not based on income.

Managing Supports In Your Home -  A resource for families who are meeting excess costs through the family subsidy program.

   Family Support Providers
ND Family Voices - A grassroots organization that supports families of children with chronic health care needs. Provides information on CHIP, Medicaid, SSI, insurance, and IDEA related to healthcare needs. Also provides information on care coordination, medical home, family centered care, collaboration and cultural diversity.

ND Family to Family Project - A parent-to-parent program that matches families with other families whose children have developmental delay, disabilities or chronic health needs.

The Arc, Upper Valley - Provides informational support and resources to families of children with cognitive and related disabilities. See their web site and ask about the Francis L Robert Memorial Award.

The ND Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health - A program that supports children with emotional/behavioral problems and their families.
