Family
Support Systems
Information:
In
North Dakota,
family support is provided by both state and private non-profit
organizations.
State efforts are coordinated through the Department of Human Services.
Within the department, services may be offered through the
Developmental
Disabilities Division as well as Children and Family Services Division.
In addition, several different family support providers operating in
the
state of North Dakota give support to families of children with
developmental
delay, disabilities or chronic health conditions. Finally, the
Department
of Public Instruction also works with families to help them get needed
