Recreation System

Information:

Recreation services in North Dakota are coordinated through the ND Department of Parks and Recreation, as well as through various municipal park and recreation systems. Sometimes those services are combined in cities and sometimes they are not. Services related to the arts are coordinated through the ND Council on the Arts and many local boards. Information about recreation options can also be obtained readily though public libraries in North Dakota. Some family support organizations offer information about activities that are accessible in nearby communities. To get information, you may want to contact:

The ND Council on the Arts
ND Parks and Recreation
ND Game and Fish Department
City Parks and Recreation
North Dakota Public Libraries
Training:

We are unaware of specific training programs for families that teach about the recreation system, or would give families knowledge on how to change those systems.
