Christy Helwig

Ms. Christy Helwig serves as the GPAST clinical services coordinator. In this position she conducts screening of children for inclusion in our clinics and schedules, organizes and conducts the diagnostic clinics as a member of the diagnostic team. Ms. Helwig has an educational specialist degree in school psychology and is a certified evaluator of school children. She also has 12 years of experience working with at risk children and families of children with disabilities in various mentoring and counseling capacities.
She is trained and experienced in the use of various psychoeducational assessment tools including the ADOS diagnostic tool for ASD. She has prior experience conducting professional trainings in regard to working with at risk children and children with disabilities and is an active trainer on autism symptomology, screening and interdisciplinary team development.
