Q: Who should attend the North Dakota Youth Disability Leadership Conference?
A: The North Dakota Center for Persons with Disabilities believes everyone with a disability has leadership potential.
Conference attendees must:
- Have a disability;
- Be a student age 14-21;
- Live in North Dakota.
Q: How much does is cost to attend the conference?
A: The total cost of attending the conference is $50 per student. The cost is based on double occupancy and includes 2 nights lodging, meals, personal care attendants, transportation during the conference, and all conference activities including: the pizza party, park and zoo visits, and the awards banquet. Additional guests for the awards banquet and personal spending money are not included. Single hotel rooms are available at an additional charge.
Q: How do I register for the conference?

Q: Will medical staff be available at the conference?
A: Yes, there will be a registered nurse on staff 24 hours a day during the entire conference. The nurse will be responsible for dispensing medications and attending to any medical needs.
Q: How will the conference ensure the safety of participants?
A: In an effort to provide personal growth and leadership development in a safe environment, the conference will provide:
- Personal assistance services, upon request.
- An onsite registered nurse throughout the entire conference
- Transportation to and from all conference activities
- Chaperones throughout the entire conference
Q: How do I request personal assistance services for the conference?
A: Personal assistance services are provided to attendees at no cost and are available upon request by contacting Dawn Olson at 1-800-233-1737.
